3 Months, Already!?!

I can't believe it but Jacob is already 3 months, how this has happened I have no idea.  He is such a fun little guy right now.  You can just see the love he has for us when he looks up at Marc and I.  He definitely takes feedings seriously and has completely chunked up!  He's just about to move out of his 0-3 month clothes and into 3-6 months clothes.  Last night he slept the longest that he's ever slept, 5 1/2 hours.  Unfortunately, I woke up at 2:00, his normal wake up time and laid in bed awake (with a pumping session thrown in since I was in pain) until 3:30 when he finally woke up.  Hopefully tonight we have a similar sleeping pattern but with me staying asleep until he wakes up.

Giggles

Jacob is one giggly dude, it's usually at 2am when I am feeding him but he loves to giggle, I finally got him on video giggling, aat a decent hour none the less.  Sorry for the shakey camera, I was bouncing, making dumb noises, balancing the meatball and video taping all at once!

The Handsomest Pantsomist

Isn't this little guy the handsomest pantsomest that you have ever seen???  Jacob is literally all smiles.  We are loving this phase, as, as soon as he sees our faces he lights up and smiles.  Feedings have also gotten difficult because he just sits there and smiles and giggles at me instead of feeding, it's super cute.

So serious!

Pinterest Inspired

So I have a new obsession, Pinterest.  For those of you who don't know what it is, it's basically an on-line bulletin board, you can follow people and if they post something that you like, you "pin" it.  I am so addicted, that's all I do when I pump, and I'm so addicted I find excuses to pump more often so I can "pin," hey it's win-win since I am also getting food for Jacob right??? :)  Well I've been using it to gather new recipes, I am so sick of all of the same old stuff that we eat for dinner but there are also fashion, home, exercise, kid ideas on there.  It's really endless.  So here are some of my Pinterest inspired meals that I have made:

Cheesy Turkey Meatballs

Pudding Sprinkle Cookies

Taco Pasta
I also made a ridiculously good Reese's Peanut Butter Cup dessert as well as a Crock-Pot Tortilla soup that was super tasty.  Next up are some S'Mores Hamentaschen, which I may make today since it's super rainy out and I don't feel like schleping Jacob around in the rain (although it has been almost a week since my last Target visit and I am jonesing for a visit!).  YUM!

Visiting An Old Friend

Our latest birthday party brought us to our old friend, Gymboree.  Riley LOVED Gymboree when she was a wee one (I'm getting into the St Patty's Day Spirit) so when we got the invite to her friend Jimmy's party and I saw that it was at Gymboree I was excited to see if she still liked it there.  We haven't been there since she was about 18 months and we switched her over to Gymnastics at a true gymnastics place.  Well Riley loves a party and she still loves Gymboree so she for sure loved the Gymboree party.  Marc even signed Jacob and I up for some Gymboree classes for the rest of my maternity leave.  We have our first class this Thursday so I am excited to see how he likes it.

Hmmm, what should I do?

It was just supposed to be the birthday boy in the middle but Riley invited herself into the middle

Check out those cheeks and chins!  Jacob pants takes his feedings very seriously

Photos By Riley

Riley has been very into taking photos with my Point and Shoot camera, she is no way allowed near our SLR, though I suspect that pretty soon she will be begging to use that as well but since my point and shoot is on it's last leg and it keeps her busy and from throwing a temper tantrum, I figure what's the harm.  I also thought it would be interesting to see the world (or our house) through the eyes of a 3 year old.  She's pretty funny, when she takes a picture she says "Oh that's a good one, you look so cute!"

So without further adieu, a selection of "Photos By Riley"

Of course Dora and Boots are the subject of many photos by Riley

Jacob is also one of Riley's favorite subjects

Party City

I'm not talking about the store folks, I'm talking about our life!  We are in weekend #2 of 3 weekends in a row of birthday parties and we had to turn one down for today because it conflicted with another party that we had already committed to.  Riley seriously has a ridiculous amount of birthday parties, luckily all of the same people are always there so we get to hang with our friends as well.

Last weekend we had Riley's friend, Trevor's party.  Riley and Trevor have been in day care together since the infant room so they are old friends, Trevor's mom likes to tell the story of how Riley used to always make Trevor cry because she would take his pacifier.  Good thing they got over that and they are great buds now.  His party was a soccer themed party at this cool place in Livermore where he does his soccer, it's an indoor complex and was very cool, if Riley showed any penchant at all for soccer I would sign her up there but alas, I don't think my girl will be a soccer chick, she proved it at the party by running all over the place and not really kicking the ball.  But she sure looked cute in her Puma sweat outfit, that counts for something! :)

How'm I lookin'!?!

Smiling at his daddy!

Today we had Riley's friend Danielle's birthday party at this cool place in Livermore called PartiPalooza.  It had bouncy houses, bowling, karaoke, and a climbing wall.  Good times!

My kids clean up well! ;)  Poor Mr Jacob suffers from second child syndrome, we would have NEVER propped Riley on the stairs!

A true Zimmerman - bowling!

Rock climbing (and in a dress)!  Not sure where this adventurous little girl came from!

The party also had a karaoke room, I was feeding Jacob when Riley wandered in there but Marc caught this on video, she's a performer!

Stay tuned for the final party next weekend! :)
