His And Her Days

Sunday Marc took Riley to the Giants game and I stayed back with Jacob and ran some errands.  I introduced Jacob to the world of Costco, I think Jacob thought it was heaven on earth.  He loved the sample tables and every time we passed one he grunted and bounced with excitement over the prospect of food.  There was one point where he had food in each hand and I had food in each hand, he couldn't consume it fast enough!

And while we were eating our way through Costco, Marc and Riley were having a blast at the Giants game despite their loss!

Look how good her feet look!  Even her left foot looks decent here, a little curvature in the forefoot but overall good position

Cutest Giants fan I ever saw!

Legos!

We are big Lego fans in our house, except when you step on one, then I don't think anyone likes Legos.  So Saturday while Jacob was napping and I was working, Riley and Marc built a Lego house.  I'm actually pretty impressed with their handy work!

Oh Dear!

Riley had her second swim lesson on Friday after Dr H and her teacher had Marc put her under water.  I could not watch it.  Now, we aren't super over-protective of Riley, in fact, we probably parent her more like a second child, we let her take risks (within reason) and let her learn the consequences, even if it means a few bumps and bruises, how else is she going to learn.  But I get really nervous with her around water, especially because she has no fear.  I was really worried that she didn't get the concept of holding her breath, but she did really well and LOVED being under water.

Little Mermaid

So seriously, Riley has quite the social life these days.  I bought a Groupon a few weeks ago for swim lessons.  We had to push them back a week because of our friend (NOT) the ear infection but Friday Riley started her swim lessons and the girl had an smile plastered on her face from ear to ear the entire time.  Is there anything that girl doesn't love (well, besides her night night shoes)?  So now, Little Miss Social has swim Friday nights, our weekly walks with the neighbors on Saturday mornings and soccer Saturday nights.  Phew, I can hardly keep up with her.  Swimming went, well swimmingly, the director even came up to me and said she was doing great, and was excited to see her willing to go to the instructor so that he could show her how to do some things.

Oh and I should mention that Marc wanted me to take her to swim but I insisted he go for at least the first class since I wanted to check out what sort of bathing suits moms wore in the pool with their kids, that and I am in no condition to be walking around in a bathing suit, I have some serious work to do for the summer.  Well I am so glad I insisted on Marc getting home early and taking Riley because there were ZERO moms in the pool with their kids!

I Love this Photo

I love this photo for many reasons, not do Riley and Marc both have on their Giant's orange but: 1.) She looks like such a big girl, 2.) You can clearly see that Riley LOVES popcorn like her Mommy and Daddy do (she's eating our leftovers from Date Day), and 3.) I think her feet look AWESOME! Now I am not a Dr but I am the most critical person (aside from maybe Dr H) of her feet. I nit pick every last detail and worry about every single mark and crease on them. But looking at this photo, the crease on the bottom of her left foot that used to drive us absolutely bonkers is barely there anymore! I called Marc over to look at this photo after I downloaded it and he thought I just wanted him to see how cute she looked eating her popcorn. I was like "No, look at her feet." He was ready for my critique but instead I surprised him by asking him how awesome they looked.
I love coming across pictures like this! :)
