Season End

Saturday was Riley's last tee ball game.  She is total hard core so she was sad to see the season end but I do have her signed up for an all girl's softball league in the spring.  Of course she had to play first base, she loves first base and she even caught a throw to her (most of them were WAY off target).  The second inning in the field Riley played short stop and fielded a few balls and had some great throws to first base.  She's so ready for the big time!

How did he get so dang big!?!
Happy girl with her trophy!

Tee Ball

Riley is all about tee ball, I really can't wait to get her into softball.  She was all about it this week and played first base, my old position!  She loved it!!!

Put me in coach, I'm ready to play.  Jacob thinks it's "no fair" that he doesn't get to play!

Ready to field some balls!

Making the throw to first base!

Playing first base!

Getting ready to make the catch (it ended up bouncing off of her glove and hitting her in the eye but it looks cool!)  And after a little cry of getting hit in the eye she wanted to play first base again!

Taking in another throw to first base!

Batter UP!

It's that time of year again.  We have Riley in tee-ball through the city again.  Not only is this her first activity since her surgery (hooray!) but this is her last year in this program before she will start the Pleasanton All Girls Softball League.  She's borderline too old for it but they focus on the fundamentals so we're keeping her in it for that and also just to have an activity because it's been so long.

Opening Day!

This girl is hardcore!

Riley's cheering section, we traded shades, just cause it was funny to the 2 year old!

It's A Wrap!

Another t-ball season is in the books, Saturday was Riley's last game and she did great again.  She's so into t-ball, I love it.  She has the whole hitting and running to first base down and then when she's fielding, she fields the ball and throws to first base, I am so impressed how much she's developed from last year.  I'm trying to get her into the Pleasanton Girl's Softball league for the spring but she misses the cutoff day by 12 days so I'm appealing because I think Riley would do great!

Saturday the team got trophies and the kids were all excited.  Riley hasn't put it down since she got it, she even tried to bring it into Costco with us after her game and napped with it.

Base hit!

I brought his bike this game and it made it so much easier to manage him.  Except for when he rode it into the middle of a group of pre-teen girls and looked up and said real sweetly "Hi!"  He love the ladies!

Getting her trophy

Who doesn't love Costco!?!  It looks like Jacob is trying to figure out how he can get Riley's food!

Batter up!

Riley is still loving her tee ball season!  She's improved so much from last year.  Marc got this awesome video of one of her hits.  She's also been fielding really well, and got 3 grounders with decent throws to first base this past weekend!

She also takes her fielding very seriously, no daisy picking from her!  She has this serious look on her face when she is in her fielding position like she's going to take someone down if she has too.  It's pretty funny for the pip squeak!  I can just hear her chattering "ay batter batter ay!"  She's going to be hard core!

Batter Up

So I'm going to be playing catch up on blogging this week, I was having issues getting on here with my laptop but it seems to be fixed now so time to catch up.  Lot's going on the past 2 weeks around here!

Riley started another season of tee ball and she's loving it.  She is on the Giants this year and Marc is very excited about that.  She's doing so well this year.  She needs very little instruction and takes it pretty seriously.  She has been hitting well, probably second farthest on the team and yes, she's probably still one of the smallest.  We bought her a pink bat for her birthday last year so she loves using that.  She's gotten pretty good at fielding and fielded a few balls in her last practice.  I think I'm going to sign her up for softball in the spring because she will be old enough.  Fun times!  Jacob of course wants to be out there with big sister but he can't play for 2 more years.  :(  Poor little man!

Tee Ball Pictures

I didn't have time to post these last week but how cute are Riley's very first tee ball pictures!?!
