East Coast Visitor

This weekend my good friend from college, Sara, aka Herman, came out to visit.  She was visiting from NYC for work so we drove up to Napa to see her and spend the afternoon with her.  We went to lunch in Yountville and then headed to the outlets.  Riley was so excited to meet Mommy's friend Sara.  She made up the "Sara" song and told everyone who would listen in Starbucks that we were going to Napa to see "mommy's friend Sara."   We had a yummy Napa lunch and then hit up the outlets where we got some smoking bargains.  Sara scored at Cole Haan, Marc bought me a pair of sunglasses, and we got tons of clothes for Riley and the new baby at Gymboree, including a polo shirt for $0.99, you can't even get a shirt that cheap at Wal-Mart!!!  I had a great time catching up with an old friend! 

Napa Trip

Last Saturday we took a road trip up to Napa to meet up with Marc's cousin, Ben, and his new wife, Gabby who were up there on their honeymoon.  Why they wanted to meet up with a pregnant lady and toddler on their honeymoon was beyond us but we were honored to join them on their last day!  It was a great time!  After a week of 90 degree weather the heat FINALLY broke and it was gorgeous up there, in the mid to high 70s with a nice breeze.  We went to a few wineries and had lunch in Yountville.  Our last winery was Jessop and it was awesome.  We had been there once before, a long time ago when Riley still rolled in the Bjorn (life was so much easier then!).  One of the girls working their absolutely LOVED Riley, and she caught Riley walking out of the bathroom, shoeless telling the world "I pee peed on the potty!"  She brought Riley animal crackers and a juice box and kept coming up to talk and play with her.  Riley was well past her nap time at this point so having this cool 20 something girl dote on her was pretty cool to her and a great distraction from her sleep!  She wanted a picture for her Facebook page of her new friend and captured this great photo of the 5 of us!

We will most definitely be going back when this lady can drink again!  To give me some fun after spending the day chasing a toddler while everyone drank we hit up the Vacaville Outlets on the way home.  We got some major clothes for both Riley and her baby brother!  Including another pair of light up shoes for Riley, princess this time!  Fun times but we were exhausted after being out all day!
